Donations are gifts given without return consideration.Your donation to the “Emily Carr Monument” Committee of over $50 can be used as a tax deductible donation, if you request a receipt on your application. You agree that you are making this non-refundable donation to support the creation and building of a Monument to Emily Carr and any projects which further enhance the creation of the “Emily Carr Outdoor Gallery” which is Under the Distinguished Patronage of The Honourable Steven L. Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.   The “Emily Carr Monument” Committee is a Committee of the “Chemainus Festival of Murals Society” which is a registered charitable organization. This project is governed under the Constitution and Bylaws of the Society.  All directors are volunteers.  No remuneration is paid for their generous contribution of time.
